“Antigone” awarded best canadian feature film at TIFF!

The feature film by Sophie Deraspe is a contemporary adaptation of the tragedy by Sophocles. Jury remarks: “Antigone stands out on its own as an electrifying piece of cinema. Tackling with vigour contemporary realities of immigration in Canada through the framework of Greek tragedy, Deraspe created magnificent onscreen humanism.” The film is produced by ACPAV and its music produced and arranged by the talented Jean Massicotte and Jad Orphée Chami.
