Philippe Brault presents the post-rock EP “Fear and Greed”

With “Fear and Greed”, an instrumental EP infused with post-rock influences released on March 12, Philippe Brault gives a new life to the music he composed for choreographer Frederick Gravel’s unique show “Fear and Greed” at Usine C and performed live with Philippe on bass backed by veteran musicians Nicolas Basque on guitar (Plants and Animals) and José Major on drums (Pierre Lapointe, Jimmy Hunt).

New moniker of musician and composer Serge Nakauchi Pelletier, Dead in Motion’s minimalist approach is reminiscent of artists such as Pharmakon, Johann Johannsson, Cliff Martinez and Trent Reznor, and blends low dissonant drones, unnerving strings-synths duos, ambient piano and guitar-driven noise to score his first album “Delirium”, an experimental soundtrack to an imagined psycho-thriller.
