“The Secret Order” to premiere at FICFA 2022! Music by Jean Massicotte

“The Secret Order”, an ONF-produced documentary directed by Phil Comeau and scored by Jean Massicotte, will premiere at FICFA 2022 November 14! The documentary explores “L’Ordre de Jacques Cartier”, a powerful lobby which served French Canadians and Acadians interests from 1926 to 1965, and of which Phil Comeau’s father was a member.

ADISQ 2022 Nominations

Ray-On congratulates Philippe Brault for his ADISQ 2022 nomination in the “Album of the year – instrumental” category for his soundtrack for “Maria Chapdelaine”. Moreover, TEKE::TEKE, which includes the composer Serge N. Pelletier, is nominated in the “Album of the year – other language” and “Arrangements of the year” categories. Good luck to the nominees!

“Drunken Birds” wins 10 IRIS Awards, including Best Original Music

DRUNKEN BIRDS by Ivan Grbovic comes out as the big winner of the Quebec Cinema 2022 Gala, with a total of 10 trophies. On top of collecting the Iris for Best Film (Luc Déry, Kim McCraw), Best Directing (Ivan Grbovic) and Best Scenario (Ivan Grbovic, Sara Mishara), the film also won the IRIS for Best Original Music, composed by Philippe Brault

Two IRIS 2022 Nominations for Philippe Brault

Quebec Cinéma unveiled on April 14 its IRIS 2022 nominees. 3 films are to be highlighted: “Maria Chapdelaine” by Sébastien Pilote (16 nominiations including best original score), “Drunken Birds” by Ivan Grbovic (16 nominations including best original score), “Une révision” by Catherine Therrien (5 nominations). Ray-On is co-publisher of the 3 films, all scored by the talented Philippe Brault.
